ABOUT THE MUSEUM

The People of Hope Museum is a one-of-a-kind, tractor-trailer-sized museum. It shares professionally produced, first-person stories from Catholic Charities staff and volunteers across the country, highlighting meaningful encounters with individuals and families in need.

Visitors can also explore interactive poverty-simulation experiences; U.S. and state-level poverty data visualizations; recordings of book excerpts about poverty, social isolation, bridgebuilding and community action; and a recording booth where they can share their own stories of hope.

This free, immersive experience will be hosted by Catholic Charities of North Louisiana from October 7-8. We hope you’ll join us for this meaningful and uplifting experience.

The People of Hope Museum is FREE to the public.
It features:

State-level poverty data visualizations will give visitors a greater understanding of poverty in Louisiana and across the United States.

An interactive poverty simulation experience to gain a deeper understanding of how poverty impacts the lives of people across the country and right here in North Louisiana.

Stories from Catholic Charities volunteers and staff across the country.

You can hear directly from them about the inspiring work happening throughout the U.S.

And, our very own Carl Piehl is a featured storyteller. You can catch a preview of his story here.
